One of the best things about attending the Olympics are the joyous fans from all over the globe, and the gold medal for most colorful and loud would have to go to the Netherlands. ( I Paesi Bassi in Italian!)
Alora, I have to go to at least one speed skating event, for the fast and buff skaters and for the Arancia -the ORANGE spectacle !!!!
The Orange is a symbol of their national unity dating back over 450 years to William of Orange.
Add a little beer and you have the most crazy fun as the crowd goes supersonic loud for their skaters as they swoosh around the rink.
At the Men’s 1,000m on Wednesday, the Dutch did their best to go for gold, but it went to American Jordan Stolz ( USA! USA!), who won with an Olympic record 1:06.28.
The Netherlands won silver, and the Chinese won bronze.
(I only mentioned the buff skaters because they usually strip to their waists after their run to cool off.) I’m just doing my job, reporting for the blog.
Thanks for reading. Mr. Jaboni should return soon. Ciao
Some of the wonderful outfits in the sea of orange.
