Hi All, in our final assignment of the Games, we’re at the Women’s figure skating free skate. Here is a slideshow of some shots I took at the short program.

Beautiful pictures!
I am heartbroken for Mikaela.

Sorry that posted twice. It didn’t look like it worked the first time so I tried again. 🙄
Great shots ! Personally , I’d be in traction-for-life if I tried that !
Great shots! Just watched the final…wow.
Awesome shots!! I can only imagine the facial expressions I’d make if I tried those moves, or how many times I’d cut myself on the blades.
I can’t believe it’s your final assignment, seems like the Games just started, at least for me. I’m sure you’re ready to be somewhere slightly warmer.
Fabulous!
Amazing how you have captured most of the skaters in the same timeframe of their dances. I enjoyed looking at a close up of the different boots and blades on the skaters.
Glad your last assignment is looking at the ice (rink) indoors and not standing on top of it (with crampons) on the outside anymore!
Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. Looking forward to the replay.
I can’t believe the Olympics are almost over. It went so fast (maybe not for you 😜) except of course for Curling which, no disrespect to those athletes, seemed like there was endless coverage.
p.s. 64 degrees in NY today!
OMG the end of women’s skating was so sad on so many levels. This quote by Kamila’s coach says a lot (reported in The New York Times)
“ Her coach, Eteri Tutberidze, greeted her not with a hug, but with a stern look.
“Why did you let it go?” Tutberidze asked in Russian in a scene broadcast on live television. “Why did you stop fighting? Explain it to me, why? You let it go after that axel.”
